Travel Essentials

Let's talk about those travel cosmetics.
Above are my essentials for travelling. Working in LUSH cosmetics, this is my favoured brand, and nearly everything I'll take with us will be from there.

So let's delve into these products shall we;

Firstly Shampoo Bars!!

These amazing wonders last 80 - 100 washes and are perfect for travelling. They are solid, and therefore you don't have to worry about a liquid limits on flights. They're also naked, which means 0 packaging waste - no nasty plastics!
I have Godiva (the yellow one) and Seanik (the blue one) is Matts.
I have them stored in LUSHs Cork containers!
These babies aren't available in stores yet, but keep your eyes peeled for them sometime in the future.

Secondly Soap!!

For Bali, I've chosen Outback Mate Soap - a cooling and refreshing mint and eucalyptus soap, perfect for the heat. The eucalyptus and citrus oils will also help keep away irritating insects with a tendency to nibble human flesh.
These soaps are cut down in store for you to your chosen size; and again I've opted for a solid alternative here, rather than a liquid shower gel, for ease of travel, and it's lack of plastic. 

Thirdly Toothpaste!!

You want those nashers to be sparkly white in all your holiday snaps, so toothpaste is obviously essential. LUSH do toothpaste in their own way.
Innovative Toothy tabs.
A solid alternative to liquid paste. Fluoride free, for those not wanting to fill their bodies with nasty chemicals.
The plastic bottle is made from 100% recycled material, and the bottle holds approximately 100 tabs.
Full of various mint oils, Miles Of Smiles is certain to give fresh breath, whilst being highly antibacterial. 

And next the Skincare.
Angels On Bare Skin Cleanser.

Are you seeing the theme here. Not a liquid in sight.
Lushs Fresh cleansers work on an add your own water basis, so they can be as scrubby or as paste-like as you want.
This one is full of Lavender, Rose, and Chamomile, so it's more gentle, and is super balancing for the skin. The main ingredient is Ground Almonds, which is a beautiful natural exfolliant - much better than micro-beads. 

These cleansers come in LUSHs black pot - which are part of a closed loop recycling system. You are encouraged to return your clean pots to store, so we can keep reusing them,

Full Of Grace Serum

I use this facial serum every night before climbing into bed. It's a wonderfully rich moisturiser.
Full of Portabello Mushrooms, it feeds the dermis of your skin with nutrients and vitamins.

Taking Full Of Grace to a hot country can be risky business.
Because it has murumuru butter in, this serum has quite a low melting point.
So to travel with it, get it wrapped in greaseproof paper at the till point, and purchase a metal tin to store it in. That way even if it melts, you can still scoop it from the tin to use, and it doesn't get chance to ruin the rest of your belongings. 

The Birth Of Venus Jelly Face Mask

Not a usual holiday essential, however with all the spa experiences we'll be enjoying, I thought why not keep it special and treat ourselves.

This face mask is solid, with a base of Carragenan Extract - aka; Seaweed.

This mask has lots of sea water in, lavender and chamomile blue oil, which helps balance the skin, and leaves your skin with a great glow. 

The pot for this one, whilst not black, can also be returned to store as part of the 5 black pot scheme, so that we can recycle and reuse it. 

All of these essentials are VEGAN, and CRUELTY FREE.

So now I just need to get some suncare, and a nice new make-up bag to travel with.
